A bird in the hand

I have found a part time job that will pay almost as much as unemployment does. It does suck going from 75k a year to 20k a year, but you can never earn more on unemployment. At least with a part time job it has the chance to become full time, plus I can still take a night job to earn more. With reports starting to come out that over 700k have filed for unemployment in March the fact I have even got an interview, much less a job is amazing.

The job is located closer to home, so no more 70 mile one way commutes, first time in 11 years. Which will save wear and tear on me and the car. Plus it will be doing something I have always wanted to do, a computer system administrator. It's hard to break out of a role, but taking this crap situation and turn it into something I have always wanted to do is a plus.

It's been a long strange trip back to the internet

I have been off line for over a month due to switching DSL providers. I'll talk about the hell that is the FCC rule and New Edge networks later. But the big news I have become a victim of the economy, I was laid off in February and still remain unemployed, more on that later also.
